Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults in Med Surg Tele (MST) units, including assessment, monitoring, and ongoing care planning.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapies, and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform frequent patient assessments, document findings in the electronic chart, and update care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other team members; participate in handoffs during shift changes.
• Float to MST units or ED holds as needed; respond to unit demand to maintain safe staffing and patient care.
• Maintain infection prevention and safety standards, promote patient comfort, and respond to emergencies per protocol.

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent MST (Med/Surg Tele) nursing experience
• Vaccination: Flu vaccine requirement; no declinations accepted
• EMR: Proficiency with Cerner or ability to learn Cerner quickly
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment (start date 06/16/2026)
