We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Planner / Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing team in Lake Forest, CA.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll work closely with our Purchasing, Sales, and Operations teams to help keep materials and inventory flowing efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Purchasing & Procurement: Prepare, process, and track purchase orders to ensure materials arrive on schedule.
• Inventory Planning: Monitor inventory levels, help maintain appropriate safety stock, and identify potential shortages.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Assist with analyzing sales trends, inventory data, and future material requirements.
• Supplier Communication: Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, product availability, order quantities, and delivery timelines.
• Order Management: Follow up on outstanding orders, backorders, and delayed shipments to help prevent disruptions.
• Data Analysis: Create and maintain Excel reports to support purchasing decisions and inventory accuracy.
• ERP System Management: Update purchasing and inventory records, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate system data.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency, inventory turnover, and daily workflows.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• No prior professional experience required — recent college graduates are welcome!
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with spreadsheets and numerical data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and purchasing procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.

Experience That Will Help You Stand Out (But Isn't Required):

• Previous internship or work experience in a business-related field.
• Exposure to purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, inventory, or operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, or similar software.
• Experience using Excel for reporting, forecasting, or data analysis.
• Knowledge of inventory management, purchase orders, or vendor coordination.
• Previous experience in the electronics or manufacturing industry.
