Executive Technology Underwriter

Responsibilities As a Sr. Technology Underwriter, you’ll be responsible for the management and growth of a Illinois book of business as well as the acquisition of new business with a focus on Technology Middle Market insurance customers. We will rely on you to analyze customers’ business information and claims history, monitor clients’ activities to change the policies as risks evolve. You’ll evaluate acceptability of individual risks and determine overall acceptability of risk, coverage terms and pricing to achieve company profit objectives. You’ll work with agents/brokers to develop productive and profitable relationships while also ensuring compliance with company underwriting guidelines and insurance regulators. Responsible for profitable results by maintaining high premium retention ratiosManage accounts for assigned territoryHandle new and renewal submissions and endorsement requests from agents/ producersDocument underwriting files to support analysis, coverage terms and pricing Operate according to underwriting authority as delegated by managerIn conjunction with management, lead renewal business initiatives for territory including execution of pricing, premium retention, coverage analysis, loss control needs, claim service needs and account stewardshipProvides clear instruction and guidance to underwriting support staff and operations staffLearn and develop sales and marketing skills and strategies in order to meet financial goalsFollow established pricing, underwriting and documentation protocol as set forth by underwriting managementMentor & coach junior underwriters and underwriting support staffMay perform other functions as assignedCompany URL: For highly qualified candidates with established relationships within the Illinois Territory, remote work arrangements may be considered. Candidates must be willing and able to travel throughout the territory as needed.
