Overview Cars of Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been serving the Chicago region for 16 years. Our mission is to help families who have fallen on hard times by providing reliable transportation through donated and refurbished vehicles. Many of the families we serve are single mothers and others referred through trusted partner organizations. As a fully volunteer-run organization with no paid staff, every donated vehicle, volunteer hour, and financial contribution helps us make a greater impact. We carefully evaluate donated vehicles, refurbish those suitable for our program, and gift them to deserving families. Vehicles that are not suitable for the program are sold, with proceeds used to repair and prepare program vehicles. We are committed to expanding our reach throughout the greater Chicagoland area so we can help more families achieve transportation independence and stability. To accomplish this goal, we need dedicated volunteers who share our passion for serving others. Responsibilities The HR Executive Volunteer helps grow and strengthen the Cars of Hope volunteer team while increasing awareness of the organization's unique mission throughout the Chicagoland area. This role focuses on recruiting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding qualified volunteers who are passionate about helping families in need through the refurbishment and gifting of donated vehicles. Responsibilities include establishing clear volunteer expectations, developing customer interaction and service guidelines, supporting volunteer training and engagement initiatives, and conducting periodic volunteer satisfaction and performance assessments. The HR Executive Volunteer works collaboratively with the leadership team to foster a positive, mission-driven culture that attracts, retains, and develops dedicated volunteers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
