Join our vibrant team as a Restaurant Host/Hostess and become the welcoming face of our establishment! In this lively role, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests, creating a warm, friendly atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help manage reservations, greet guests with genuine hospitality, and ensure smooth seating arrangements. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your customer service skills within a dynamic hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and making them feel at home
- Coordinate with the dining team to optimize table turnover and guest flow, maintaining a seamless service experience
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, assisting with reservation requests and general questions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold our high standards of guest service
- Assist with guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously
- Support the restaurant team during busy periods by managing waiting lists and communicating wait times effectively
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests, team members, and management
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional guest interaction techniques
- Experience in hotel or guest services can be an added advantage for providing exceptional guest relations
