Press Brake Operator

Job Title - 1st shift Press Brake Operator Job Shift - 7am-3:30pm Job Type - Performance to Hire JOB DUTIES: Operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) on respective AMADA brand equipment Performs machine set-ups, adjusting and loading tooling, and making changes at the controls for parts as required for specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc. Check parts for conformance to prescribed tolerances Operator/Setup Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and/or materials to Supervisor or Quality Control Specialist (QC) setup and operate machines, independently with limited supervision Ensure the work area is kept clean and free from hazards Collaborate with other departments as needed Assist in departmental measurable goals relating production concerns, quality and efficiency Assist in monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control Actively look for ways to improve the profitability and productivity of the company SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must be able to work at fast pace, follow instructions and be self-motivated Requires excellent math skills including fractions, and geometry Requires ability to read measuring equipment, calipers and other tools Work independently with minimal supervision Must work well with others Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely Ability to stand for minimum of 8 hours Ensure and verify parts match to customer drawings Provide immediate feedback when problems occur EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Cad or drafting experience a plus Must have Press Brake Experience (1-2 years minimum experience) (Amada experience preferred) Steel toe boots are required.
