IT Systems Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to work in Walton Hills, OH. In this position you will own and advance our core infrastructure - servers, network, identity and security and lead the IT side of our acquisitions. This is a Senior level role on a lean team. You will be the go-to engineer. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real ownership, day to day variety and the opportunity to standardize and build out an environment as the company scales.

Salary: $105,000 up to $120,000


IT Systems Engineer responsibilities:

• Own day to day administration of the server and virtualization environment (Windows Server, Hyper-V) across multiple sites

• Administer identity and productivity platforms - AD, MS 365/Entra ID in a hybrid configuration (Exchange Online, directory sync)

• Manage and build out the network - enterprise firewalls, switches, wireless, VLANS and VPN

• Lead the IT workstream for acquisitions: plan & execute integrations with minimal disruption to the business

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors Degree

• 5+ yrs hands-on system and network engineering experience, serving as the primary technical resource for an environment

• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration; Hyper-V or comparable virtualization.

• Microsoft 365/Entra ID (Azure AD) and Exchange Online in a hybrid setup

• Solid networking fundamentals; backup and disaster-recovery experience

• SQL Server familiarity and exposure to ERP environments

• Devops would be a strong preference

• Prior M&A/IT integration experience a strong plus but not required
