Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and wage and hour compliance preferred.
• Familiarity with payroll software and accounting systems.

Experience Requirements:

• 2 years of previous payroll processing experience required.
• Experience processing payroll for multiple clients, business locations, or employee groups preferred.
• Proficiency with EasyACCT and QuickBooks strongly preferred.
• Experience handling payroll deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, and direct deposits.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills when addressing payroll questions and discrepancies.

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Strong keyboarding, data entry, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to review detailed payroll information while maintaining accuracy.
• Capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and clients.

Job Duties:

• Process payroll for 22 client accounts ranging from 1 to 54 employees.
• Review and verify employee timesheets to ensure accurate reporting of hours worked.
• Calculate wages, overtime, commissions, bonuses, tips, and applicable deductions.
• Process payroll using EasyACCT and QuickBooks software.
• Enter and maintain employee payroll data, including tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and direct deposit information.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, questions, and payment issues.
• Process wage garnishments, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies.
