Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation team in Rapid City, South Dakota. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys being a key player behind the scenes.
In this role, you’ll work closely with attorneys handling a variety of litigation matters, including personal injury and wrongful death cases, business and contract disputes, and professional defense matters.
What You’ll Do
- Manage calendars, deadlines, appointments, and court-related scheduling
- Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents in state and federal court
- Organize and maintain electronic and hard-copy case files
- Coordinate travel, meetings, depositions, and conference calls
- Transcribe attorney dictation
- Prepare outgoing mail and assist with occasional deliveries
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and outside contacts
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with case workflows and trial preparation
- Support daily office operations and administrative needs
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Previous legal administrative experience is a plus
