The Worship Leader plays a central role in shaping the spiritual and musical experience of our congregation through blended style services. Leading a medium-sized worship team of 6 to 12 members, the Worship Leader collaborates closely with the Senior Pastor and Board of Elders to plan and facilitate meaningful worship gatherings. This role involves directing vocal and instrumental performances, overseeing rehearsals, and ensuring seamless use of technology such as digital audio workstations and live streaming tools. Opportunities for professional development include workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan worship services and select appropriate songs
• Lead and mentor a worship team of 6-12 members
• Provide vocal direction and musical arrangements
• Engage the congregation throughout worship
• Coordinate rehearsals and ensure equipment setup
• Provide spiritual guidance and facilitate worship experiences
• Utilize digital audio workstations, live streaming tools, and music arrangement software effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in worship leadership preferred (open to first-time worship leaders on case-by-case basis)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven team leadership and event coordination skills
• Effective public speaking and spiritual mentoring abilities
• Proficiency in audio equipment operation and collaboration
• Strong time management, interpersonal communication, and leadership skills

Science Hill Trinity Church is a nondenominational church with a Methodist-Wesleyan heritage. We have been serving the Science Hill community and Pulaski County for over 100 years, and we look forward to the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus for many more. We are a multigenerational church looking to modernize and grow both spiritually and numerically, and worship is one way that we see a great opportunity to do that! Currently, we worship with 80-100 people on Sunday mornings. We have recently undergone a change of pastor and hired a children's pastor and youth pastor, all young and excited to lead in new ways!

If so, we want to talk to you! Pay is commensurate to experience, but is negotiable. Right now we are looking for someone to make an 8-10 hour commitment weekly, and are willing to compensate accordingly. Travel expenses will be covered, should that be necessary.
