Job Title: Structural Welder (Flux Core MIG)

Shifts: 1st Shift (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM) | 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 2:30 AM)

Pay: $28–$33/hour

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Structural Welder to join our team. In this role, you will use Flux Core MIG (FCAW) welding to build steel components for bridge projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform flux core (FCAW) welding on structural steel

• Read and follow blueprints and weld symbols

• Complete welds in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead)

• Set up materials and perform basic fabrication work

• Use shop tools such as grinders, drill presses, and saws

• Operate cranes to move materials safely

• Keep your work area clean and safe

• Work independently and support team members

Requirements

• Experience in structural welding (FCAW / MIG)

• Ability to read blueprints

• Experience with vertical welding (3G)

• Able to pass welding tests (3G, 3F, 4F)

• Can lift up to 50 lbs and work in different positions

• Strong attention to detail

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience in bridge or heavy steel fabrication

• Experience operating overhead cranes

• Previous lead or team experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
