System Development Engineer, ADC Software Ops

Salary: $129,800 - 129,800 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree or CSSLP certification.
• We need 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We need knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, including networking, storage, and operating systems.
• We require a current, active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or higher.
• We need candidates to currently hold and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance, and after start be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph or equivalent agency clearance.
• We prefer experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
• We prefer experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum.
• We prefer programming experience in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• We prefer 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.

• We troubleshoot and resolve complex systems and service issues within GovCloud and other U.S. Government air-gapped environments.
• We deploy new versions of systems and subcomponents, and validate and test those releases.
• We monitor services and maintain operational visibility across network tools and systems.
• We stand up new services and tools to support network operations.
• We work with internal software development teams to improve systems and services within our scope.
• We investigate, document, and solve issues in a way that scales and prevents recurrence.
• We design, build, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions that improve performance, durability, cost, and security.
• We solve difficult technical problems across every layer of the stack.
• We support production-quality tools and systems used to manage network operations.
• We participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to critical events as needed.
• We travel to data center sites and Amazon or customer offices when required.
• We work with customers during problem resolution and operate effectively under pressure.
