About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 18 months Shift: Sunday-Thursday Hours per Shift: 10pm-6:30am Experience: Two (2) years License: NY Rad Tech license (must be obtained after starting) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), Injection Certification Must-Have: GE Scanner Experience, Level 1 Trauma Center Experience, Certification through ARRT Description: We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. The candidate should know how to operate the MRI machine efficiently. The candidate must be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure. The candidate will coordinate with the patient's physician to ensure results are received in a timely manner. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential. The candidate must be able to stand for extended periods. Duties and responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe scanning facility. The candidate will coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Preparing patients for scans and explaining the procedure is required to help them feel comfortable. Inserting IVs when necessary for tests is part of the job. The candidate must document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information. Patient care tasks may be required as needed.
