Rail Coordinator

The Rail Coordinator will lead all rail operations and fleet management at ALTIVIA. This position will report to the Supply Chain Director and will be located in Houston, TX.Job Responsibilities:Coordinate mobile repair unit (MRU) callouts and progress, working closely with plant and Customer CareManage shop interface for all repairs, requalifications, and specifications (closures, gaskets, and o-rings)Lead interface with QTS, railroads, lessors, and all other rail vendors, and keep plant teams informedMaintain information flows between all partners, including letters of authorization (LOA) and data exchangeFor non-standard movements, hot items, and re-bills, provide white-glove visibility leveraging QTS track & traceManage railcar utilization, compliance, and fleet classification; work with QTS fleet coordinatorCoordinate regulatory response, for any notices from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)Analyze fleet sizing by business and railcar type, establish and monitor KPI’s for dwell and asset utilizationTabulate railcar demurrage and participate in order execution, interface with Customer Care for order creationWork with Logistics Analyst to administer all data rail freight accruals, support annual rate refresh with railroadsReview and approve rail invoices, reviewing backup documentation and coordinating with QTS fleet coordinatorCoordinate railcar procurement: on-hire, cleaning, and off-hire for leases, and purchase / sale for owned railcarsCreate routes in railroad systems, and maintain rate & route master for use in accounting and contract renewalsManage rail storage and rail service invoicing, working with accounting and providing backup documentationBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits packageMedical, dental, vision, vacation, and 401K matchOn-site gymGreat office downtown with a strong team environment and close to all amenitiesProactive and clear communication: verbally, in writing, and in business presentationsTracking commitments and approvals, managing the sequence of activitiesAttention to detail, thoroughness, and organizationData analysis, Excel proficiency, and general arithmetic / numeracyComputer proficiency and efficient quantity & quality of work productVendor relationshipsInitiative to identify, create, and sustain work processesCritical thinking, strong work ethic, and an action orientationEducation, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:High school diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or business preferredPrevious rail or logistics coordination experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr ALTIVIA
