National Account Manager Location: Hybrid, based in St. Louis, Missouri Company: Anova Furnishings About Anova Furnishings: Anova Furnishings is a family-owned business with over 50 years of experience in the industry. From our humble beginnings in a St. Louis garage in the 1970s, we have grown into a leading manufacturer of high-quality, sustainably built commercial-grade outdoor site furnishings. Our products, including benches, picnic tables, bike racks, and receptacles (trash cans), are designed to enhance public spaces and strengthen communities. Position Overview The National Account Manager will be responsible for generating primarily new business within a specific vertical in the outdoor furnishings and fixtures industry and managing a small number of existing national partners in the US. This dual role focuses primarily on business development within retail, hospitality and grocery anchored shopping centers. This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of remote work and in-office presence based in St. Louis, Missouri. This is an exciting long-term opportunity for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities within a designated vertical. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals. Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed targets. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems. Manage and nurture relationships with existing national partners. Identify and participate in relevant industry events and trade shows to network and promote Anova Furnishings. Ensure prompt and effective customer service and response times. Secure appointments for quarterly reviews with national partners. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Success Sales Pipeline: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline. Behavior Targets: Meet and exceed monthly behavior targets, including strategic meetings, presentations, opportunity meetings, networking events, and referrals. Territory Planning: Successfully build out full territory plans within 12 months. Closing & Implementing: Close and onboard new accounts. Account Retention and Growth: Retain and grow existing accounts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of proven experience in B2B sales, with a focus on generating new business and account management. Preferred but not required: Understanding of the outdoor furnishings and fixtures industry. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in CRM software, with Salesforce experience preferred. Ability to travel for outbound sales 45% of the time. Preferred Qualities Strong prospecting skills and the ability to handle objections effectively. Demonstrated ability to implement strategic sales techniques and approaches. Motivated to achieve high performance and exceed sales targets. Competitive. Open to learning within sales training program that emphasizes skill and performance development. Strong account management skills. Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic sales environments.
