Network AdministratorLOCATION: Hill AFB, UtahJOB STATUS: Full Time; salariedCLEARANCE: SecretAstrion is seeking a Network Administrator to support the Training Division (AFLCMC/WNR) at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah.The WNR Division serves as the Air Force's technical, acquisition, and sustainment authority, delivering comprehensive and mission-critical support to the war-fighter. The division supports a broad portfolio of Air Force systems including Electronic Warfare, Range Systems, Air Combat Training, Command and Control Systems, Advanced Radar Threat Systems, and Combat Survivor Evader Locater systems.This role specifically supports the Live Mission Operations Capability (LMOC) program. LMOC enables real-time weapon modeling and automated data delivery for live training and debrief environments, enhancing training fidelity, density, and effectiveness across mission planning, execution, reconstruction, and review.Responsibilities:The Network Administrator will perform a wide range of duties supporting both classified and unclassified systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following functional areas:System and Network AdministrationProvide system administration support for LAN, WAN, web, and communication systems across classified and unclassified environmentsSupport network security for command and control systemsProvide classified communication venues for product teams to discuss sensitive requirements, designs, and system shortfallsAssist with assessment, development, implementation, management, maintenance, and administration of LANs, electronic messaging services, telecommunications infrastructure, and government IT servicesPerform VMware server administration, including high-availability server solutionsAssist with installation of communications cabling, including CAT5 and fiber cablingPlan, coordinate, install, and analyze government-furnished computer systemsDevelop and implement system upgrades to ensure availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of IT infrastructureConduct analysis of system usage, user complaints, traffic interruptions, and hardware/software performanceApplication and Help Desk SupportAssist with development of web-based IT equipment management systems and government software applicationsProvide help desk support, including management of IT trouble ticketsSupport user access to government acquisition and life-cycle applications such as ABSS, CAS, CPARs, JCALS, JEDMICS, DSAMS, and related systemsCybersecurity and Certification SupportDevelop documentation and artifacts required to certify classified and unclassified network systemsSupport DIACAP or RMF certification efforts for classified and unclassified infrastructureReview proposed system and software designs for security risks and usabilityAdvise government leadership on system security shortfalls and improvement areasSystems Integration and AnalysisResolve integration issues between new systems and existing infrastructureMonitor emerging technologies to recommend effective solutionsPerform systems analysis for project tracking systemsSupport IT and communications systems including network infrastructure, wireless systems, and voice systemsCitizenship: Must be a US citizenClearance: Must have an active US security clearanceMaster's or Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience in the respective discipline, including 3 years in the DoD, OR7 years of directly related experience, including 5 years in the DoDExperience:Experience in Information Systems Technology/Computer ScienceExperience in Business SystemsCertifications:DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:Technical SkillsExperience in information systems technology and computer scienceBackground in business systemsProficiency with LAN/WAN environments and VMware server administrationExperience supporting classified and unclassified networksFamiliarity with DIACAP or RMF processesKnowledge of government IT applications including ABSS, CAS, CPARs, JCALS, JEDMICS, and DSAMSInterpersonal SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesEffective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience supporting DoD personnel and cross-functional teamsAbility to manage help desk operations in a classified environment
