Business Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Business Law Associate Attorney in Columbus, OH. The successful candidate will advise and represent clients in various corporate, commercial, and transactional matters, demonstrating strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. Duties Cultivate and strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities. Draft, review, and negotiate business and commercial agreements. Assist with business formations, organizational matters, and corporate governance. Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and correspondence. Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. Prepare corporate documents, resolutions, and related materials. Conduct due diligence and assist with transaction closings. Advise clients on contractual and general business matters. Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel. Manage assigned matters and deadlines with increasing independence. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to and good standing with the Ohio Bar. Minimum of four years of experience in business, transactional, or corporate law. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines. Proficiency with legal research tools and standard legal technology. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the Ohio Bar. Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
