Water/Wastewater Engineer - Project Manager

Location: Peoria, IL; Normal, IL; Champaign, IL Job Id: 3537 # of Openings: 1 Farnsworth Group is seeking a Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to conduct planning studies, hydraulic modeling, design, permitting, funding assistance, and construction of water and wastewater projects. Responsibilities Manage and design a variety of water and wastewater projects from planning through design, permitting, and construction. Design water transmission and distribution systems. Work directly with clients and a multi-disciplinary design team to manage projects. Assist with business development activities and preparation of proposals. Prepare planning studies and reports for evaluating project alternatives and condition assessments. Model water and sanitary sewer systems. Design booster pump station and lift station systems. Participate in regulatory strategies and negotiations with permitting agencies. Qualifications BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred. 8–15 years of Water/Wastewater Process Engineering experience. Professional Engineer – PE License. Passion for water and wastewater engineering. Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills. Understanding of chemistry and biology for treatment processes. Team player capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with water and/or wastewater modeling software such as WaterCAD, InfoWater, EPANET, GPSx (preferred). Salary Range: $91,000 - $149,000 (to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity).
