This role also ensures the establishment operates efficiently by assisting with cleaning, food preparation, seating customers, stocking, and maintaining inventory. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the General Manager.Essential Functions:Provides exceptional customer service; greets all guests with a smile and friendly disposition while taking food and beverage orders, answers questions about menu items and offers recommendations, calls guests by name, and thanks them for their order before they leavePrepares and delivers quality beverages and food products consistently to all guests by adhering to recipe and presentation standardsOperates a cash register and receive payment from guests, while following all brand, HMSHost customer service, and cash handling policies and proceduresKeeps the store clean, stocked, organized; decorates customer display areas so they are aesthetically pleasing and up to brand standardsFollows operational policies and procedures, including those for health & safety and securityMinimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:Professional Experience:Must have one year of customer service experiencePreferred: has at least one year of experience working in a high-volume coffee shopPreferred: previous cash handling experienceSpecialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits:Excellent customer service and communication skills; demonstrates the ability to interact with customers and co-workers enthusiasticallyRequires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customersRequires the ability to learn and maintain knowledge of certified coffee establishment products and proceduresPhysical Requirements:Requires the ability to bend, twist, walk and stand to perform normal job functionsAbility to stand/walk for long periods of timeCan perform repetitive motionsHas the ability to bend, stoop or kneelMust be able to lift up to 40 poundsUse of hand dexterity for writing, grabbing, pulling, twisting, shakingAvonta, including Dufry, HMSHost Corporation, Hudson, and affiliates ("the Company"), is an equal opportunity employer.
