Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care

Schedule:
Full Time, 3x12 day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), every other weekend, holidays required, plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks.

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Requirements:
- License: Currently licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required through AHA or RQI system, NIHSS. Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire, CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in MedSurg/Tele/Critical Care Units.
- Cross-training: Must be cross-trained for multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER).

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting.
- Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans.
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation includes certification requirements.
- Must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- CPI certification is required within the first 90 days of hire.
- Computer literacy is preferred, including experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office products.
