Electrical Engineer - Early Career

About the Role We are seeking a full‑time Electrical Engineer to join our team at Eichleay. Responsibilities Demonstrate awareness of health, safety and environmental issues and address them to ensure zero harm and no environmental incidents. Consistently achieve project goals, delivering quality work and meeting schedules. Assemble electrical engineering work packages for review and approval, including one‑line diagrams, wiring schematics and other deliverables. Perform load calculations, voltage drop, conduit/cable sizing, lighting and grounding design under the direction of a Senior Electrical Engineer. Develop scope and create technical specifications for electrical equipment and modifications. Prepare material requisitions for bid and technical bid evaluation, review specifications and respond to vendor submittals. Attend project team meetings. Become familiar with site, global and industry electrical standards (NEC, IEEE, API, NFPA 70E & 497). Qualifications 1–5 years of experience in refinery or other oil & gas related industries. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Ability to coordinate with other disciplines, vendors and project management in a team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/Navisworks; RevitMEP experience desired. Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, API, IEEE standards for hazardous locations. Experience developing one‑line diagrams, wiring schematics, load calculations, voltage drop, conduit/cable sizing, lighting and grounding design. Experience with low‑ and medium‑voltage systems and electrical specifications and calculations. Working toward passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is expected. Experience working onsite at a refinery or similar industrial facility. Ability to form and foster collaborative relationships within Eichleay and with clients and partners. Occasional travel (up to 25%) to Eichleay offices and client sites in the Western US. RSO safety training and current card or ability to obtain; client safety training and current badge or ability to obtain; TWIC certification and current card or ability to obtain; background screening; random drug and alcohol program participation. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $60,000 – $110,000. The pay range is based on anticipated base compensation at the time of posting. The position includes 401(k) match and other benefits. Work Environment and Physical Demands Occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, talking and hearing required. Must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary. Job duties may be performed at client offices, client sites, production facilities or industrial/construction job sites under client project leaders.
