divh2Wastewater Operator Team Member/h2pThe Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment system in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations. This role involves monitoring system performance, conducting routine and preventative maintenance, and maintaining accurate environmental records. The operator must follow safety policies and procedures while striving to meet quality and delivery expectations to support cost reduction and process improvement./ppWeekend days are Saturday, Sunday, and Monday: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You will work 36 hours but will be paid for 40 hours./ppAttendance: Must maintain regular, predictable attendance and be available for overtime and weekend shifts (including Saturdays)./ppOperational Tasks:/pulliOperate and monitor the wastewater treatment system./liliInspect all equipment and instrumentation daily./liliClean, inspect, and calibrate probes as per schedule./liliRoutinely check chemical levels in feed tanks and drums./liliClean filter presses (usually 1-2 times per shift)./liliMonitor CR+6 tank for proper chemical treatment./liliRegularly inspect the clarifier and assess setting characteristics./liliMonitor incoming wastewater for high concentrations or unusual upsets./liliMaintain records of chemical additions, calibrations, significant parameters, and maintenance activities./liliSample effluent discharge in accordance with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management Industrial Wastewater Pretreatment Permit./li/ulpProcess Improvement: Actively participate in developing improvements to the wastewater treatment process./ppWaste Management: Handle, document, and schedule the disposal of wastewater and process waste safely, and assist with unloading chemicals and loading waste to outside vendors./ppSafety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and work policies, including those related to hazardous materials and waste handling./ppTraining: Must be a Certified Wastewater Treatment Team Member and maintain Hazmat Certification (which may require passing a Hazmat physical)./ppCompetitive pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour./ppPaid time off, including holiday shutdowns./ppComprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, prescription, and vision coverage./ppAdditional benefits: Uniforms provided with laundry services, steel-toed shoes, PPE, and 401(k) with employer match./ppOn-site clinic and cafeteria for your health and wellness./ppOpportunities for career growth and advancement in a collaborative team environment./ppMinimum of six months of related experience or a one-year certificate from a technical school (or equivalent combination of education and experience)./ppMust pass a Hazmat physical.
