Job Overview The Hotel Human Resources Manager oversees the daily operation of the Human Resources office. Responsible for areas of recruiting, employee relations, benefits, events, workers compensation and other employee-related tasks. This role is a one-person office and has a direct reporting line to corporate Human Resources with a dotted line to the hotel General Manager. Role and Responsibilities Ensure property hiring practices comply with I-9, ADA, and EEO requirements and strive for a culturally diverse workplace. Operate and manage the hotel HR systems: payroll, background checks, benefits administration, etc. Receive hiring recommendations from team supervisors. Participate in staff interviews with GM and/or department head. Interview and assess job candidates. Onboard new hires by processing new hire enrollment in UKG, I-9, and orientation. Oversee employee attendance and working schedules, including paid time off, overtime and breaks. Work in tandem with the Director of Employee Relations to manage employee grievances and the employee disciplinary process. Assist with the execution of all company culture programs. Act as the point of contact when employees have queries or job-related issues. Ensure hotel staff complies with relevant health and safety regulations. Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Have knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures. Communicate and enforce all policies fairly and consistently with staff. Performs other duties as requested by management. Attend all training/meetings as required by management. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required; bachelor\'s degree preferred. At least 3 years of Human Resources experience in a hotel highly preferred. Human Resources certification highly preferred. Ability to work independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS systems required.
