Workplace Type: Office Employment Type: Hourly Discover a more connected career At Niels Fugal Sons Company, LLC, as a Copper Splicer, you’ll connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by skillfully splicing and repairing connections. What you’ll do With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records Other duties as assigned What you’ll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card Six months of copper splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry Physical abilities & exposures Routinely : operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds Occasionally : work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse Connecting you to great benefits Weekly Paychecks Paid Time Off, Parental Leave, and Holidays 401(k) w/ Company Match Stock Purchase Plan Education Reimbursement Legal Insurance Discounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more!
