Production Associate 1st or 3rd shift

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate (1st or 3rd Shift) Department: Plant / Manufacturing Reports To: Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Supervisor Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour and up (based on experience) Shift Schedules 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM Job Summary The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for lifting, transporting, storing, and loading materials and products using cranes, hoists, and forklifts. This position supports the accurate handling, documentation, and movement of incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information, counts, weights, and measurements against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders, or other records. Maintain accurate records for all incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment. Direct movement of materials from shipping and receiving areas to storage locations and production work areas. Prepare bills of lading and related shipping documentation. Affix shipping labels or mark cartons with required shipping information. Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select appropriate pre‑assembled containers. Pack materials and products securely into containers. Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to ensure proper flow of materials and products. Review records for accuracy, procedural compliance, and adequacy of inventory levels. Requisition containers, packaging materials, and other supplies for workstations. Prepare and verify records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED; or One to three months of related experience and/or training; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
