Patient Access Specialist II

Virtual Vocations Inc

Responding to a high volume of appointment requests, the full-time Patient Access Specialist II will manage scheduling for medical exams and procedures remotely, ensuring effective communication with patients and providers. Key responsibilities Triages and answers incoming calls and requests professionally, demonstrating knowledge of scheduling protocols and payer contracts Completes scheduling from work queues, including rescheduling and waitlist management, while providing patients with necessary pre-visit instructions Documents and distributes clinical inquiries and referral information accurately to ensure timely responses from healthcare providers Required qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or call center Entry-level computer skills as required by the department Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills Accurate data entry skills
