Pay Range: $20.00–$24.00 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking an Assembly Equipment Technician I to support the assembly, testing, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure equipment is assembled accurately, documented properly, and prepared for shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical and mechanical schematics, equipment drawings, and work instructions to assemble mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Assist in building, assembling, and testing equipment and devices according to established procedures and specifications.
• Prepare, update, and maintain detailed assembly records and documentation.
• Assist with equipment and component rebuilding, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.
• Learn and apply assembly techniques for new technologies, prototypes, and equipment designs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to document equipment modifications and recommend improvements to equipment functionality, quality, and performance.
• Support the assembly and testing of new technologies and prototypes.
• Maintain personal tools, equipment, and shop floor hardware inventory.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with established safety standards.
• Work with manufacturing leadership to identify opportunities to improve workflow, assembly procedures, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with quality control personnel to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Assist manufacturing and logistics teams with equipment preparation, packaging, and shipment readiness.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in equipment assembly, mechanical or electrical assembly, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical field preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Basic troubleshooting, repair, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Good organizational skills and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
