The position will be headquartered at and required to work from a DTSD regional office building in Green Bay at least three days per week. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. As a member of the region management team, this position performs administrative and managerial functions in the development, implementation, and evaluation of important and complex policy, budgetary, and organizational components of the department’s transportation engineering and related programs. This position manages the delivery of Technical Services, including Real Estate, Environmental Programs, Soils, Materials, Pavement, Right-of-Way Plat Preparation, Survey/Mapping, Utilities, Railroads, Engineering Automation and Administration. This position also develops and maintains effective working relationships within the agency and with local officials, legislators, business and industry representatives, and the general public.This position has the authority to independently commit department resources to achieve established goals and objectives. This position has managerial responsibility for policy development and program budget, development, implementation, and effectiveness. This position also has responsibility for employee supervision. The responsibilities of the position require high-level managerial, professional, and technical judgments.
