Senior Accountant

Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, ability to prioritize tasks and strong analytical skills. The salary range for this role is $85-100k. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting packages Support budgeting and forecasting activities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation Evaluate and strengthen internal controls Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation The Senior Accountant will possess the following: EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field 2+ years of accounting experience Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adapt as needed.
