In this role, you'll help strengthen community members by promoting stress & emotion management through the delivery of evidence-based curriculum.Job SummaryProvide group education and skill-building activities to program participants and community members.Implement identified evidence-based curriculum(s) and education models with fidelitySchedule, plan, promote and implement workshops and other required activitiesLead outreach/in-reach activities within VCC and the community to recruit program participantsSustain and/or build community partnerships to advance program activitiesWork collaboratively with program staff to assist enrolled program participantsMaintain ongoing contact with program participants to build trusting relationshipsDemonstrate familiarity with VCC programs and servicesDevelop and maintain a calendar of educational sessionsFollow program protocols and complete program documents and reportsParticipate in internal and other program meetings as scheduledEnhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature review, in-service meetings and workshopsSupport the vision, mission and goals, and demonstrate a commitment to the values, of the organizationPerform other duties as directedQualificationsMinimumBilingual in Spanish/EnglishHigh School diploma or equivalentMinimum of four years of experience in community educationValid California driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation to travel between sites for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposesAbility and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsPreferredBachelor's degree in related field or associates degree with minimum two years of experience in community educationRequired Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesAbility to present information accurately and effectively both orally and in writing to individuals and groupsGood verbal and written skills necessary for communication with patients/clients, providers and other staffAbility to handle confidential materials and information in a professional mannerBasic computer knowledge, Internet use, MS Office and Excel, data entryWork independently, take initiative, and be proactiveAbility to analyze, prioritize and meet deadlinesAbility to track and manage time effectivelyAbility to plan and facilitate internal and community meetingsExcellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfactionPay Rate$22.50 - $24.00 Depending On Experience
