Beloit Health System is looking to add a Per Diem MRI Technologist to our Team!Shift: 1st & 2nd shift combinationSchedule: 6:30 am - 9:00 pm (8-hour shifts within this timeframe)Hours per week: Varied - Per Diem Benefits Status: Not EligibleDepartment: MRIWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Per Diem MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The MRI Tech will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate is committed to patient safety, technical excellence, and collaboration with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging services. Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the examination process and addressing concerns.Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety, including implants, devices, and contraindications.Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.Administer contrast agents in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and applicable regulations.Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs or emergencies.Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure quality diagnostic outcomes.Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and hospital policies.Perform routine quality assurance checks and assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.Participate in departmental meetings, education activities, and quality improvement initiatives.Assist with training and mentoring students and new team members as needed.JOB REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Registered in MRI within 18 months of hireCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing patient volumes and clinical needs.Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Commitment to patient-centered care and service excellence.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.Reporting Relationship: Director of Medical Imaging.
