Asset Management - Investment Grade Trader - Associate

The Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities team (GFICC) at J.P. Morgan Asset Management is one of the world’s deepest and best-resourced fixed income managers, with expertise across all major fixed income sectors, including niche markets. Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities manages a broad range of strategies, through funds and/or separate accounts, including investment grade credit, high yield, emerging market debt, unconstrained and aggregate strategies, long duration, stable value, FX, short duration, global bonds, structured products, mortgages and tax-aware strategies. As an Investment Grade Credit and Rates Trader on the Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (GFICC) Trading Team, you will operate in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with portfolio managers across regions, our global research team, and the broader trading platform. GFICC manages approximately $1T in AUM across the entire fixed income market.. You will originate and execute trade ideas, articulate market views, and partner closely with PMs and research to drive investment implementation. Job Responsibilities Trading both US Investment Grade Credit and US Rates products. Support Investment Grade primary market activity. Actively generate, evaluate, and implement investment ideas in partnership with PM teams. Employ fundamental, technical, and relative valuation analysis to develop differentiated market views and inform portfolio positioning. Collaborate with portfolio managers and research teams to identify opportunities and contribute to investment decisions. Adhere to all internal trading policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and risk management. Present trade ideas, communicate market flows, and provide color and insights to investment teams. Build and maintain broker relationships; participate in broker performance reviews as needed. Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 2 years of experience in fixed income markets and/or financial services. Require strong programming skills (Python and/or other languages) and interest in applying AI to increase trading efficiency. Demonstrated ability to generate investment ideas and contribute to portfolio outcomes. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and market views. Proven ability to build and foster relationships internally and externally. Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Organized, collaborative professional with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced technology skills, including proficiency in Tradeweb, Market Axess, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint. CFA designation or progress toward CFA, or other relevant certifications, is a plus.
