Temp Safety Professional- San Diego

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Temporary Safety Professional for a project in San Diego, CA. This position plays a critical role in supporting ongoing safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture within a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections and job site audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee safety training sessions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and compliance records.
• Partner with site leadership to reinforce safe work practices and policies.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols across all teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a safety role (construction, manufacturing, or industrial preferred).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and influence teams in a fast-paced environment.
• OSHA 30 certification required (or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, full-time schedule.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive hourly pay ranging from $45 to $50, based on experience and qualifications.
