Resident Living Director (PRTF located in Gulfport, MS) About the Agency The mission of the Specialized Treatment Facility (STF) is to promote and strengthen the mental health and education of up to 48 adolescent males and females experiencing behavioral difficulties in their homes, schools, and communities. STF uses milieu therapy as the foundation for resident treatment, employing consistent routines, rules, and activities to enhance social skills and build confidence. The Resident Living Director serves as the senior supervisor in the Resident Living Department, reporting directly to the Program Director and leading the team in providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for residents. Responsibilities Ensure all staff adhere to STF policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Assign, complete, and review required paperwork and reports. Coordinate staff scheduling to meet population needs across all shifts. Participate in leadership and committee meetings, providing reports and data analysis. Manage key personnel functions: interview, hire recommendations, training, performance review, coaching, and progressive discipline. Maintain and update departmental policies; ensure staff hold necessary certifications in de‑escalation, CPR, and first aid. Operate a state vehicle with valid driver’s license and liability insurance. Provide orientation and ongoing in‑service training to new and existing staff. Order, review, and approve requisition requests; submit work orders for departmental needs. Conduct administrative rounds and promptly report identified issues. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Comprehensive knowledge of resident care, including personal hygiene, first aid, and monitoring of resident conditions. Skilled in physical and non‑physical behavioral interventions. Ability to train residents and staff effectively. Capability to coordinate and motivate multiple departments to achieve accurate coverage. Proficient interpersonal skills and positive leadership for building strong relationships. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication abilities. Strong problem‑solving skills with the capacity to analyze information and make informed decisions. Fork knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality rules, and relevant accrediting agency standards. Advanced computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Experience in financial sharing such as budgeting and forecasting. Strong sense of accountability, transparency, and adaptability. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. Three to four years of youth behavioral health treatment experience and/or relevant certification. Three years of supervisory experience in residential or behavioral health settings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
