Journeyman Acquisition Program SpecialistOdyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Acquisition Program Specialist supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Attack division (AFLCMC/EBD) at Eglin AFB, FL. This position will support succession planning, manning rosters, coordinate career development events, facilitate in/out processing, and track critical leadership acquisition positions.ResponsibilitiesDuties may include, but are not limited to:Support Succession Planning & VectoringMaintain and update AFLCMC tracking spreadsheets for all Program Management (PM) personnelPlan, schedule, and coordinate logistics for vectoring and succession planning review sessionsReview personnel records and draft proposed vector ratings for all PM positionsDraft, finalize, and distribute official Vector Letters to employees and leadershipManage Manning Rosters & Unit Manning Document (UMD) TrackingTrack and update the Qualified Candidate List (QCL) for acquisition positionsProcess, review, submit, and track position actions (additions, reverifications, and deletions)Reconcile position series changes and verify billet updates against the active UMDAdminister APDP & Continuous Learning Points (CLP) ComplianceTrack employee progression toward acquisition certifications and required Continuous Learning Points (CLPs)Issue individual certification notifications and publish monthly division-level compliance status reportsReview, assemble, and submit APDP certification packages and adjudication requestsCoordinate PM & Career Development Events (CDE)Manage CDE data calls, solicit inputs, and maintain centralized candidate tracking rostersDisseminate acquisition training opportunities, DAU courses, and professional development seminarsTrack Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP) & Key Leadership Positions (KLP)Prepare, coordinate, and route CAP and KLP tenure agreements for signatureMonitor tenure milestones and consolidate inputs to respond to annual mandatory data callsCoordinate Acquisition Recognition & Awards ProgramsFacilitate and coordinate annual Acquisition (AQ) award nomination packagesCoordinate Request for Personnel Action (RPA) numbers and track Non-Appropriated Awards (NAA) and Special Act/Service Awards (SASA)Facilitate Acquisition In/Out-Processing & OnboardingConduct present APDP briefing slidesDistribute Position Descriptions (PDs), AF Form 971 packages, and onboarding materials as neededReconcile and update PM organizational charts and global distribution lists (AcqDemo, GS-13 and below) monthly against the UMDProcess and track administrative paperwork for volunteer Top Secret (TS) upgrade requestsExecute Task Management & General Acquisition SupportMonitor, assign, adjudicate, and close Task Management Tool (TMT) taskers across all functional areasConsolidate inputs and build slide decks for recurring leadership staff meetingsCoordinate acquisition trainee programs (quarterly meetings, Trainee Shadow Day, and PAQ Leadership class tracking)Schedule executive engagements, resume reviews, and meet-and-greets for leadershipQualificationsMinimum QualificationsCitizenship: Must be a US CitizenClearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearanceEducation and experience: Associate's degree and 10 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree and 2 years of relevant experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience providing acquisition program support within DoD programs.Familiarity with FAR, DoD 5000.2, and related regulations and guidesAdditionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:Technical SkillsDemonstrated understanding of and ability to apply acquisition program supportAbility to develop and manage program plans, implement risk management processes, and design courses of action to streamline operations.Experience with DoD planning, programming, and budgeting processes, preferably in the context of USAF weapons acquisition.Proficiency in cost estimating and analysisCompetence in managing multiple projects and adapting to changing program needsInterpersonal SkillsAbility to work independently while effectively supporting broader team and program objectivesStrong communication and collaboration skillsAdaptability and flexibility to respond to evolving requirements and operational challenges.Professionalism in handling confidential information and adhering to equal opportunity and workplace standards.Additional Information Location: Eglin AFB, FL Travel: May be required up to 10% depending on program needs Work Environment: OnsiteCompany OverviewOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
