Laboratory Accessioner

The main function of an accessioner is responsible for processing laboratory samples. They work with other laboratory employees to catalog patient specimens, like blood, urine, or tissue, for analysis. They mostly work with blood. Lab professionals carry out diagnosis and treatment based on the samples received. Essential duties include receiving and triaging all specimens for clinical testing, managing clinical information within LIMS database, performing internal audits of clinical charts, and collaborating with various departments to ensure testing accuracy.

Additional skills and qualifications: Qualifications: HSD or GED needed, AS or BS degree in biological sciences preferred, proven attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines, proven ability to work well independently and within a team, 0-2 years of experience. Experience level: Entry level.

Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
