Warehouse Lead

Warehouse LeadAcademy Air is seeking a highly organized and dependable Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and support our HVAC service and installation teams. This role is responsible for inventory control, material distribution, warehouse organization, fleet readiness, and ensuring technicians have the parts and equipment needed to deliver exceptional service to our customers.The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains high standards of accuracy and safety, and enjoys creating efficient processes that support operational success.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse OperationsManage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, organizing, and distributing inventory.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.Establish and follow warehouse procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of stock items.Inventory ManagementReceive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.Track inventory movement and maintain accurate records within inventory management systems.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.Manage parts, equipment, tools, and materials used by HVAC service and installation teams.Assist with vendor returns, warranty claims, and damaged goods processing.Technician & Fleet SupportPrepare materials and equipment for daily service and installation schedules.Coordinate distribution of parts and supplies to field technicians.Assist with maintaining technician truck stock levels.Support fleet readiness by monitoring equipment and tool availability.Ensure proper storage and maintenance of company assets.Safety & ComplianceFollow warehouse safety policies and procedures.Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED.3+ years of warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Experience with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.PreferredExperience in HVAC, plumbing, construction, or home services industries.Forklift certification.Experience with purchasing, inventory forecasting, and warehouse process improvement.Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, or field service software.Skills & CompetenciesInventory control and accuracyProblem-solving and critical thinkingAttention to detailProcess improvement mindsetEffective communicationCustomer service orientationAbility to work independently and collaborativelyWorking ConditionsWarehouse environment with regular lifting, carrying, bending, and standing.Occasional work outdoors and exposure to varying weather conditions.May require occasional overtime based on business needs and seasonal demand.Why Academy Air?At Academy Air, we are committed to providing exceptional service to our customers while creating a positive and rewarding environment for our employees.
