Senior Accounting Manager

Our client, a technology-enabled services company, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead general ledger activities, financial reporting, and the monthly close process. 

Location:

This role is hybrid, with employees expected to work on-site three days per week.

Job Description:

This hands-on leadership role will oversee a team, support multi-entity consolidations, and partner with stakeholders across the organization to improve accounting operations and maintain accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with effective people leadership and the ability to operate in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger activity, multi-entity consolidations, and monthly close processes
• Review financial results, account activity, and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy
• Prepare and maintain timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Partner with accounting, operations, payroll, and invoicing teams to strengthen processes and resolve accounting matters
• Develop and improve accounting policies, internal controls, reporting procedures, and scalable workflows
• Coordinate audit requests and support quarterly and annual financial audits
• Lead system enhancements, special projects, and process improvement initiatives
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members while establishing clear priorities and performance expectations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA certification
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or corporate accounting leadership
• At least 2 years of direct people-management experience, with demonstrated success developing accounting teams
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, multi-entity consolidations, and month-end close
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with operational and executive stakeholders
