Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and compassionate  Behavior Therapist to provide 1:1 clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In this role, you will work directly with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in home, community settings in Massachusetts. You will work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Responsibilities & Duties

• Direct Care: Provide high-quality 1:1 and group client care utilizing a combination of Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET) arrangements.
• Protocol Implementation: Skillfully follow and record data for prescribed behavioral skill acquisition, training, and behavior reduction protocols.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Accurately collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior using electronic data collection systems.
• Family Collaboration: Assist with parent and caregiver training; effectively communicate client progress as instructed by the supervising BCBA.
• Safety & Professionalism: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment. Utilize safe, appropriate handling procedures and maintain absolute client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Team Collaboration: Partner effectively with the treatment team, including clients, parents, co-workers, and outside professionals.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience

• Required: Bachelor’s degree, or currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree, in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Hearing Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience: Prior experience working with children ages 0–16 in a classroom or 1:1 setting is preferred. Experience implementing the principles of ABA is highly valued, but n ot required.
• Training: All hired therapists must successfully complete a mandatory 40-hour training in Applied Behavior Analysis and an orientation program.

• Ability to accept constructive clinical feedback and actively develop skill sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong time management capabilities.
• Ability to adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and the BACB Code of Ethics.
• Professional appearance and demeanor regarding clothing, grooming, and presentation.

Schedule, Logistics, & Physical Demands

• Availability: Must be consistently available to work after-school and evening hours (3:30 PM – 8:00 PM ).
• Logistics: Must have reliable transportation, a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License, and auto insurance in good standing to travel to client homes.
• Physical Postures: Ability to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) on the floor or on feet for extended periods.
• Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Safety Maneuvers: Willingness and ability to utilize quick body movements to intervene challenging behaviors as indicated in their Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
• Acuity & Tech: Visual and manual dexterity to accurately read, comprehend, and input data into computers and electronic data collection devices.
