PET Technologist

Responsibilities When you join us as a PET Technologist, you will be part of a dedicated team delivering quality, value, and access in the 21st century and aligning stakeholders to achieve the best clinical outcomes. Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care. Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient. Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process and answering questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitor patients’ well‑being during exams; recognise patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action. Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information. Safeguard any on‑site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements. Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals. Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting professional behaviour toward patients and coworkers, respecting patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions. Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting. Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships. Requirements Current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License. High school diploma or GED. BLS certification. Venipuncture certification/permit.
