Patent Agent

Overview Conduct prior art searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses. Analyze patent and scientific documents to support attorneys in patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation matters. Draft patent applications and responses to USPTO office actions. Advise lawyers on technology issues for depositions and other litigation preparations. Requires a degree in software, computer science, or a related field, along with substantive industry experience. Must possess strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills, and broad scientific knowledge in computer science or electrical engineering. Eligibility to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet patent agent registration requirements is mandatory. Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is strongly preferred. The expected annual salary range is $125,000 - $228,000, with the final offer dependent on geographic location, experience, and skillset.
