Field Service Technician III

About the Role Field Service Technician III in a 24/7 customer‑driven setting, delivering high‑level technical support across mechanical, software, network, and system domains. Your Impact Diagnose mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures. Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications. Report product failure trends and serviceability issues to managers with supporting documentation to ensure accurate record‑keeping. Provide efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on‑site maintenance to meet and exceed customer demands. Diligently maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property. Assist with solutions of escalated technical and/or customer service‑related problem areas across territories when requested. Maintain working knowledge and ability to repair multiple product lines including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. Communicate with supervisors and other departments regarding the resolution of escalated technical or customer service issues. Interface with customer IT departments. Qualification & Experience General and/or vocational training plus 2 to 4 years of related experience. Associate’s degree in electronics or electrical engineering from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience. Direct experience as a field technician. Capacity to meet or exceed minimum performance standards for productive technical quality and customer satisfaction within the assigned territory. Ability to travel; valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Capability to excel in a 24/7 environment, performing shift work and on‑call rotations. Must obtain any required security or other clearances required by customers to enter premises. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 % of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling). Compensation Hourly rate: $24.39 – $36.53. Workstyle Full-time, on site: required to be present at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory on scheduled workdays.
