CT Technologist

Join Our Team as a CT Technologist! We are seeking a part-time CT Technologist to join our healthcare team at Layton Hospital. Qualified applicants may qualify for a sign-on bonus and relocation, if applicable.

As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams on patients using specialized equipment. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. This is a part-time position. Shifts will include days, swings, weekdays, and weekends. May be hired as a CT Tech or Specialty Tech in Training, depending on qualifications and experience.

Maintains American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions. Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy. Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality. Assists and instructs students and other CT Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment. Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques. Understands and operates CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images. Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. Equipment Operation Emergency response Specialty Tech in Training Minimum Qualifications Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. An American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who is currently attending and receiving formal training from an accredited training program or successful completion of formal training from an approved/accredited school

a licensed American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who has been selected to cross-train in another modality.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Computed Tomography Certification/Registration (ARRT)(RT)(CT) ~(Specific facility-based certifications may also be required for this role. If this applies, each facility would define and manage compliance.

~ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
