Job Title: Production Worker 1st/2nd shift

Pay- $16 an hour

Job Description

• Join a long-established, family-owned furniture manufacturer that specializes in high-quality solid wood home and contract furnishings. As a Production Worker, you will help produce residential and commercial furniture with a strong focus on quality, precision, and pride in workmanship. You will work in a hands-on manufacturing environment, supporting various stages of the production process from material handling to finishing preparation.

• Responsibilities

• Produce solid wood furniture and components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Operate basic woodworking hand and power tools safely and efficiently, with training provided as needed.

• Load, unload, stack, and move wood materials throughout the production process.

• Perform sanding, drilling, assembly, and finishing preparation tasks according to specifications.

• Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and workmanship to ensure they meet established standards.

• Follow detailed work instructions, production schedules, and all safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.

• Use basic math skills and a tape measure to verify measurements and ensure accuracy in production.

• Support general production and machine operation tasks as assigned.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to keep production running smoothly.

• Essential Skills

• Willingness to learn new tasks and production processes.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as needed.

• Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and safety guidelines.

• Comfort working with hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing setting.

• Basic math skills and ability to use a tape measure accurately.

Work Environment

• This role is based in a shop environment that can be dusty and loud due to woodworking and production activities. The position follows a Monday–Thursday schedule, with a 1st shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a 2nd shift from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Each shift includes one paid 10-minute break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

This is a Contract position based out of State College, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
