About the Position

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid Allied license required Certifications: ARRT CT*, ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: Level II Trauma Client experience required Previous charge experience preferred Experience with Epic charting system preferred Description: CT Tech position available Thursday to Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM, with alternate Wednesdays. Unit accepts first-time travelers. Candidates must possess CT skill and knowledge, especially in Emergency Department and Interventional Procedures. There are four CT scanners available: two in the department, one in the ED, and one in outpatient imaging center. The CT scanners include Siemens 64-slice in the ED and three Toshiba 64-slice in the department and outpatient center. Travel experience is required. Special skills include: 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering). Abdomen examinations with and without contrast. Adult acute care and outpatient experience. Knowledge of biopsies, aspirations, and CT arthrography. Experience in brain perfusion, cervical, chest with and without contrast, and colorectal studies. Familiarity with lumbar procedures and management/lead experience is a plus. Must be experienced in PACS and radiation safety. Responsibilities may include starting peripheral IVs, drainage procedures, and managing emergency department cases. Floating to like units may be required based on facility needs. Daily census averages 450 visits, with around 150 visits per day. Candidates should be ready to engage with interdisciplinary teams, including IV therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Experience with patient age groups ranging from neonates to geriatrics is needed.
