Transportation Manager

Job Summary The Transportation Manager will own the operational execution and transportation budget for both domestic and international freight spend. This role will ensure carriers and vendors meet KPI targets and report results to leadership. The Transportation Manager will have direct reports to support domestic and international transportation operations as well as cost savings and continuous improvement analyses and project management. In this role you will: Lead and develop a team of analysts to execute operations effectively and drive world class operations through internal and external partners. Manage carrier/vendor relationship, including RFP cycle, contract language, rate negotiations, and ensuring day‑to‑day operations meet budget and KPI targets. Provide leadership updates and evaluate reporting to suggest efficiencies and improve operation and budget. Generate project‑based work to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiencies, and cost savings opportunities. Partner with cross‑functional supply chain teams to set up programs that benefit the company and partners and drive continuous improvement through cross‑functional accountability. Education Completed Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field Experience 4-7 years of experience preferred Experience in supply chain, specifically transportation; direct engagement with vendors and carriers; operational experience in transportation Strong leadership skills Ability to problem‑solve and review data to drive action Analytical mindset that translates to operational execution The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $99,700.00 and $117,300.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay, including skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location. This role is also incentive eligible under our corporate bonus programs. For remote roles where the candidate resides in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon or Washington, state required pay thresholds will be factored into base salary.
