Their responsibilities include:Setting tables: Set tables with the right silverware, glassware, and dishesRefilling drinks: Refill drinks and clear empty glasses as neededClearing tables: Clear dirty dishes and glasses from tablesResetting tables: Prepare tables for the next guestsRunning food: Run food to tables in a timely mannerGreeting guest: Greet guests and provide them with menus as neededStocking supplies: Ensure supplies are stocked before, during, and after shiftCommunicating: Communicate effectively with the FOH and BOH to ensure timely serviceAssisting with special needs: Respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the server or manager, if necessaryServer assistants should have strong interpersonal skills, be able to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds, and possess organizational skills.
