Job Details: Location: FCL Marshall – Marshall, AR 72650 Position: Part Time Shift: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Pay: $12.75 Education: High school diploma or GED Overview The Direct Support Professional works on an interdisciplinary team that delivers superior quality of service and provides appropriate activities in a safe and healthy environment within the home and community setting. Key Responsibilities Assist clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks, including showers, dressing, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation and planning, and financial budgeting. Provide transportation to and from activities and appointments; a valid Arkansas Driver's License is required. Maintain communication via facility logbook, staff meetings, and other appropriate means regarding client needs and progress toward their plan of care. Accurately complete all required documentation, such as Behavioral Reports, Incident Reports, Complaint Forms, Personal Care Work Sheets, Requisitions, Maintenance Forms, Progress Reports, Monthly Attendance Logs, and other required documents. Follow and complete necessary documentation for FTA vehicles and maintain mileage/billing forms in compliance with Medicaid guidelines. Report incidents and/or emergencies to supervisors or delegated authorities immediately; this is a safety‑sensitive position. Assist in formulating, managing, revising, and following through the client’s Plan of Care to ensure treatment is carried out and safety is prioritized. Follow medication management guidelines and assist in monitoring and documenting procedures. Organize and carry out recreational activities for clients. Model appropriate behavior by maintaining a professional appearance, adhering to FCC’s dress code, and acting respectfully toward clients and families. Assist in maintaining FCC facilities and grounds, keeping them clean and orderly. Assist in maintaining FCC vehicles, ensuring cleanliness and regular preventive maintenance. Attend required training and pursue continuing education. Provide proof of liability insurance and keep it current. May undergo periodic driving tests and demonstrate proficiency in operating a motor vehicle, including passenger vans; may use personal vehicles when required, maintaining adequate liability coverage. Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding FCC, its staff, and clients in accordance with HIPAA and FCC’s Non‑Disclosure Policy. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED, or at least 2+ years of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals. Valid driver’s license. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees. Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs. Computer skills: entry of data and basic navigation of software applications. Reasoning ability: apply common‑sense understanding to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions. Physical ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift or move up to 100 pounds, and perform tasks that require use of hands and fingers. Vision requirements: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Physical Demands Employees should be prepared to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk or hear, stand, walk, reach, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell.
