Position: Assistant or Associate Professor Faculty Position in Finance Faculty Unit: Business and Government Program: Business Management Job Type: Full-time Closing Date: Review of applications will begin September 15, 2026 Job Category: Faculty Status: Open Qualifications A master’s degree or a PhD in a relevant business area is required. Foreign equivalent degree from a nationally accredited institution accepted. As an educational institution affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Church), BYU–Hawaii prefers to hire qualified members of the Church in good standing, as authorized under 41 C.F.R. § 60-1.5 (a)(6). To be eligible for employment, applicants who are members of the Church must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend and receive a clearance from the Church’s Ecclesiastical Clearance Office. Responsibilities Teaching requirement is typically 30 semester credit hours per year over three semesters in some (but not necessarily all) of the following subject areas/courses: Business finance, risk management, financial modeling. Scholarship, creative endeavor, ongoing professional development, and university service are required. BYU-Hawaii’s primary focus is undergraduate learning and teaching. The individual should be fully committed to the university’s mission and learning framework Benefits Salary range: 113K to 135K. Housing stipend. Relocation expense package. Annually renewable contract eligible for Continuing Faculty Status (BYU-H equivalent of “tenure-track”). Standard BYU-Hawaii benefits package for regular full-time employees.
