Role Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the needs of patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using standardized tools and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver targeted therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to harmonize care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure progress and continuity outside of clinical sessions.
• Participate in the occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, fostering seamless care for those in your charge.
• Uphold meticulous and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licenses and Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
